hey i have two turtles im not sure if they are male or female they are still reeally little but the one that i got first(named timothy) is skinny like normal but the one i got second which was smaller than timothy(named thoedor)is kinda fat and is bigger than timothy does any one know why ?? and how do you tell the female from the male ??

Some say that you can tell their sexes because the female is bigger than the male, another is that the male will have longer claws on his front legs, and still another is that the male\'s tail will be longer than the female\'s and the female\'s tail will be kinda fat and stubby, but there really isn\'t any real way to tell when they are very young. sorry. I still don\'t know if I have a male and a female or two males etc. etc. anyway I still don\'t know.
do u mean that theodor who was smaller than timothy is bigger now? maybe it depends on how much they eat and move..or maybe timothy is a girl that\'s why she\'s growing faster
