anyone want to check into that? i think the 2nd one of the eggs not splitting all the way is good because you hear of people that start becoming siamese twins then are born w/ a mouth on there cheeks or a hump on their backs.

Holy Cow. I wonder if they both control the legs? or if one head controls 2, etc. It\'d be wanting to go off in 2 diff. directions.

I have enough trouble keeping ONE mouth fed!

Poor thing.

I feel real sorry for them. Particually the first one, the shells all bung and his leg front (our right) looks wierd also.

Poor things.

I was reading on the internet about the two headed turtles, apparently there is a three headed one, but according to what I read, they don\'t live past the hatchling stage, so if you see one walking around it is a very rare site. I read that once in a while the turtle mom will lay an egg with two yolks and that is what comes out of the egg, Maybe some kind of conflict with which yolk develops so I guess they compromise and a two headed turtle is born. I\'ll keep trying to find more info on the subject.

Dixiee, maybe it was the surgery to separate them who been attemp only once...so the principle of yolk mixed together,it\'s like siamese twins...but i wonder if u can have 2 turtle(with no difformity)from the same egg??like real twin??

The two headed turtle thing is pretty rare, but not unheard of, the bigger ones are the most rare, since they hardly ever make it past hatchling.
