if its going in your tank it might look cool but make sure its not toxic or anything. it might also be hard to clean.

Thanks. I think I am going to check out some pet supply stores. I need it for the ramp and basking area that I am going to build.

Ok. May take a while. I still need to get my dad to bring my 55 gallon tank out to me. I am planning to attempt a basking area on top of the tank to maximize swimming space.

Just got my new (temporary) tank set up. It turned out a lot cooler that I had expected. Now I need batteries for the camera and need to figure out how to post pics on this site. I cut a hole in the side of a rubbermaid type container with a lid. Set it on top of the tank and built a ramp. Filled the bottom of the container with flat rocks to bask on. I cut a hole in the lid of the container and covered with screen for the lights. Pretty creative for just finding things around the house!

They don\'t like the basking area. I may have to make some adjustments. Back to the drawing board.

Thanks. This is just a temporary fix. I am planning to build a basking area on top with plexi-glass. Just need to find the time.
