Sick Turtle

Post by mskickass » Fri Dec 15, 2006 9:51 pm

:( So glad I found this site! I have gotten so much valuable information. After reading a couple of posts I made an appointment to see a vet who used to work at the Cincinnati Zoo. My Dear Sweet "Bob", actually he is my son's turtle, but I have become so attached to him lately, has swollen eyes and his shell underneath has had fungus and wear, even pieces along the edge have broken off.
So after 2 shots and being sent home with oral antibiotics, and iodine for his shell, I am hoping Bob is on his way to recovery.
I also bought him a water heater which wasn't much of an issue until the weather got cold and his water temp dropped with it.
Pray for my dear Bob and keep the good advice coming!
