Has anyone seen their RES poop? How do you know when they are constipated? What are the signs?

I personally have never seen my RESs poop. I\'ve never really watched for it either. I wonder if they make turtle laxitives.

Hee hee hee
but really how do I know my little guy is not constipated?

I have had him since December and I have not seen him eat or poop (ever) - but he looks and acts healthy....

he has tons of water plants, fish, turtle pellets - and basks every day. The only thing that has ever happened is that he pees on my when held a lot.

Besides, if you\'ve had him for about 5 months now and he hasn\'t eaten anything, I\'m sure there would be some signs that something is wrong with him (very sluggish, non-responsive, etc.).

but if u really worry, try to feed ur turtle in another container and keep it in a hour after...u should see some poop in there...

thanks everyone. my little guy is super fast when let out of the tank, he zooms around the room, not just going to a corner and hiding but cruising for hours. I am sure he is fine - sorry for the grossness

ps. I thought RES had to eat in water, it that true?
