Thank-you

I have just come from visiting my mother and I checked her out. She is excessively overweight. She will not fit into her shell at all. I think she might die soon. This is going to kill me. But I have decided that I have to do something. I will feel worse about the situation if I don\'t. My sister said she will help me with the money to buy her a new tank and filter so that was a relief. I just feel horrible.

Thanks for the websites, I printed them out and I am going to read over them right now to see what I can do. Thanks

My female got fat like that, but she\'s lost a good amount of weight now. My other turtles never had a problem with it. She\'s a pig. I started taking her out of the tank and feeding her seperately (others ate in the tank).

maybe you should get her a square like tank and increase her habitat size so she can work out more

I have decided to put her in a 20 gallon long for now and move her in with me. The websites really helped. They said she doesn\'t need a whole lot of swimming space but more walking. So I figure if I put her in a 20 gal long she would have some walking space and some swimming space depending on how I can set it up. Wish me luck guys, I\'ll keep you posted. Thanks!
