I am new to owning a turtle and I have a question. I was wondering if it was alright for my turtle to look like he is shedding while he is in the water?

Thank you very much, I dont know to much about turtles right now. My tank size is 5-10 gallons I have no heater but alfred loves to bask in the sun. I am not sure how big he is but he is maybe 5 inches long. My turtle is a slider if there is anything I need to know about their health and what to expect please let me know.

isn\'t 5-10 gallons too small for a 5 inch turtle? is there enough room to swim and bask?

He actually seems to like it. He has a rock that he can bask on then he just swims the whole tank. I plan to get a bigger one if not like an indoor pond when I move for him.
