Hello, My 12 year old red eared slider has a growth?/mass?/ tumor? inside his neck. We are waiting on test results from the local vet to determine his proper care plan. Surgery may or may not be an option. He begs AND attempts to eat, but is unable to swallow his food. My Question: Is there some sort of liquid diet I can give him for nutrients? or Any suggestions on how I can get him nutrients? At least until we get the results & if surgery is an option, this may be a way I can feed him as he heals.

I did some searching but didn't find much information on this. Can you ask your vet for suggestions so it can be shared with the community?

My personal thoughts are to try soaking their food to soften it up and then putting it in a dish with water to make a sort of soup.

Sorry I am not of more help. Wishing for some good results for you.

Keep us posted please!
