weird looks i could imagine that..people were looking at me as if i was walking naked when i took my turtle to the vet! (sorry for my similie)

anyways if u want to then just put it on the floor and it\'ll do the walking by itself..they enjot it:) just make sure u put some boundaries for it so u won\'t lose it

Mine are only about 3 or 31/2 inches and I put them outside to walk around, I am 40 y/o and you can imagine the stares I get, I don\'t notice them though:D:D, it is good to let them walk around, it helps them to excersize their legs, just make sure you keep an eye on them, don\'t be fooled by the fairy tales, they are very fast when they want to be.:D, just ask any of us here:D

yeah turtles are not turtles when it comes to walking..they really go fast sometimes that u can\'t catch them..mine are still babies too and i put them on the floor to walk..if they\'re in my room then i make a fence with books so the don\'t go too far..when they walk in the room they\'re in then i do the same but with cushions around..sometimes i just follow them but i have to take them out one at a time

This one time, the little devil was just waiting for me to put him down to run around, and he darted straight underneath the sofa. I saw a huge turtle blur. Everyone just about freaked out. He sat underneath the sofa just out of arms reach and turned around and faced me and taunted me. I mean, his mouth was open as if he was laughing at me.

Anyways. He does enjoy walking around, but he loves all of the extra attention he gets when he acts up. Just like regular children.

I know I have had to fish for my turtle under the sofa before, it only takes about a minuite for you to look away for them to disappear, I did that the day before yesterday, I had put both of them on the back yard and I was keeping an eye on both of them, one was headed towards the middle of the house and the other was headed towards one corner of the house, I took my eyes from the one getting close to the corner so I could get the other that was getting too close to the central air unit, I took it and placed it about 5 feet from the unit and then turned my attention back to the other, I could not find him, I stepped very carefully in the grass incase he had dug underneath, I looked for about half an hour for him and finally found him a good 20 feet from where I had left him, imagine if he had been in a hurry, I am glad he was just exploring:D
