well, you can feed the turtle crickets, earthworms, and basically any insect that floats... crickets are the best though.

u can also try some snails...the turtle will play and eat them but for the time they gonna be in the tank they help to get rid of leftover food,waste and algae...

Which kind is more commonly used, I have looked at a couple of snails and I\'m not sure which to use, one of the ones I was looking at was the trapdoor snail I don\'t know which the other one is.

i buy my snail at \"petcetera\" they call it aquatic snail but they are \"apple snail\"...they suppose to get big but my turtle eat them before they grow...

Crickets are nutritiously unbalanced. Worms and snails are good \'cause they come in loads on rainy days, I just picked up 20 snails on the sidewalk!!!. Rinse them first or something and make sure they don\'t have pesticides or bacteria; I get mine in my backyard because we don\'t use pesticides.
