Turtles just do that for no apperent reason. They are just great excape artises. Be sure to have a cover on your tank.

There is no place where you can buy turtle leashes, but you can make them. Use a elastic and put it around the middle of your turtles shell. Make sure it cant slip off. Then just tie a string to it. Good luck

I would only put therm outside when it is warm outside, 75-80 degreess. If it is not that warm outside, i wouldnt doo it, they will try and hiberante and end up dying. Hi i like in Boston Ma too, actually in Quincy but, tis all the same, How deep is your pond? Unless it is like atleast 2 feet deep and has lots of dirt or mulch at the bottom, i would not do it. those dont really help. as long as you have a good filter, it will do better than any chemical you can put into the turtles water. i myself do not like to use chemicals with my turtle,

All turtles hibernate. Your turtle wont hibernate is it is inside and warm enough. i wouldnt hibernate your turtle outside in your pond if you have oen unless you are sure it is deep enough. I think that they can be trained, becuase when i first got my turtles, i trained them when to go and stop with hand signals. it was fun, but they seemed to have forgotten their train.g But i was wondering how you traiend them to walk around the curb and not randomly everywhere? thanks!

Lets just say you dont wanna be bitten. My turtle that is only 3.5 inches bit off the whole tip of my finger the other day.It really really hurt, nice blood too :) Lets jus say i know have a dip in my finga.

Turtles can vividly see apart colors, but have really bad aim. They have a greta sence of smell, which is why the turtles are picky about their food. They only eat foods that they think smell good.

It is perfectly normal for ur turlte to eat its own poop. It just mistakens it for food. But if you dont like that, u could scoop it up with a net so that their isnt poop for ur res to eat.

U got urself red ear sliders. All u need is lots of swimming space, a basking spot made from maybe rocks or plexiglass with a uvb light, and good food like repotomin and veggies. Good luck

U cant really tell how old ur turtle is. U could estimate by the size though, but sometimes turtle\'s size could be stunted because they were not properly taken care of. It really is hard to tell a turtles age.

Turtles do shed off scutes. As long as your turlte doesnt shed too much, and doesnt reach the bone (its white) then you should be fine. Some pics would help to see what is rong if it is not shedding. good luck

Ur turt is probally just not eating beacuse it needs to adjust to its inviroment, this might take up to a week for it to get adjusted. Until then, jsut leave some food in the tnak and levae KAI \'ANELA anlone.

Ur feeding tank only has to be big enough that ur turt is submerged in water. it doesnt have to be that wide, as long as ur turt can turn around is fine. Becuase basically, u just want them to look at the food anmd eat it, good luck

U should put chicken wire or wire mesh over the top of ur tank to protect them from birds and other predators, and then they cant get out. They probally just want to explore their world. Good luck!
