Re: Feeding them outside the tank

Turtles don\'t really like changing enviroments and it can cause them to get rather upset. But in the long run, if doing this can save you from a lot of trouble go ahead and do it. They might get upset at first..later they will proabably get use to it. If they eat in the feeding tank thats ok, if it...

Res do good alone, they don\'t depend on Social Relationships like humans or other animals, infact I would reccommend keeping turtles alone if not intending to breed them to save some trouble.

Re: We just bought our son two turtles...

I do not recommend Gravel for two reasons, it is very hard to clean out, and there is a good chance that your turtles will swallow a pebble, as that happened to mine, and in some cases it may have to be surgically removed, I recommend large pond rocks, they look natural and are easy to clean. The 20...

I think all this stuff you are using is too much. I don\'t use anything in my water but a Calcium Block. This is very normal, it is just shedding. Just make sure the skin isn\'t peeling too often, because it may be a sign of rapid growth usually caused by overfeeding, and in some cases the shell will crack open, otherwise it is perfectly normal.
