If they aren't use to that much of a temperature drop I would say that it is safer to bring them in. You don't want to risk a cold - or RI.

I doubt that your turtle would be succesful in eating the bluegill they are tough fish, but I can definitely forsee some lost fins and a slow death for the fish.

I buy watercress at my local grocery store, but any dark green veggie will work fine- (except spinach, I shy from this as it is toxic to birds and I don't know about turtles so I don't chance it). At 15 years your turtle should definitely be into greens. Try a variety of veggies- making sure their n...

Spoiled

You have got a very spoiled turtle there! First- be careful with feeding household meat, they can be very fatty and are not usually in their diet, and NEVER raw. You may have a hard time getting your turtle to eat veggies because they prefer meat and if they get plenty of that will often times refus...

My Daphne died.

:? My favorite baby died yesterday. She was such a beautiful turtle, she was a bright yellow albino res. I am writing this because I feel horrible and this could have so easily been avoided, so I know everyone will think this is awful (and it is) and I can’t begin to explain how bad...

sorry this is so late, got caught up with other things. I ordered her off of a reputable breeder on King Snake? I believe. I hope that your blind baby is doing well, animals are amazing creatures, I'm sure the little one will adapt better than expected. -btw I do agree that it is cruel to breed for this trait, you wouldn't do it to a person so why you would do it to an animal is beyond me. -Definitely keep the setup the...

I would suggest a ceramic bulb for heat and a reg UVA/UVB bulb as a seperate source. Ceramic bulbs last alot longer and can be left on all night so that there is always a heat source.

I'm not sure what is in the tablet, probably contains things other than just a chlorine remover, it most likely helps establish the tank with "good" bacteria etc. This is not necessary for turtles. Probably one of four things are happening.
