ahhhhhhhhhhh that saddens me. You mean to say the red markings eventually fade away,well fortunately it will still be my Buddy as charming has he is .I am thankful it is just that .I was getting prepared for a shell condition :cry: Thanks to you all and keep up the excellent work.

it's done they have successfully spent their first night together. there is only one thing that i am concerned with: the water in the new tank does not seem to heat up has much has the smaller tank did,so that means a water heater for sure.As for Buddy well i caught him doing that thing with his fro...

just to stay on this thread, my question would be: can the bigger turtle eventually pull or bite off the smaller turtles limbs ? that is what i tried to do with Buddy and that is what he tried. they must be hard to get ? for i have never seen any and i suppose pet stores don't want to stock them up, believing they will not sell as good has ``normal`` RES. anyways i will keep my eye open next time i window shop petstores!!!

yes i must agree to that. Buddy does know who feeds, who takes him out of the tank,and who he should hide from!!!!! my 4 year old daughter had her first climb on experience from the turtle tonight, i never heard her giggle so loud!!!!

thanks so much Rachelmarie, unfortunately martine had been away for a couple of days so she didn't notice the turtle,she had her stepsister take care of the feeding and she is not into turtles! so from what you tell me i'd be correct to believe that the smaller(younger turtles) ones are very fragile...
