definitly check the hoses.. may be a hole in the return line.. i would suspect the rubber gasket is ok otherwise u would probably be losing mass amounts of water.. also.. check the connection between the hose connections inside the tank..

well i think i dodged one.. the turtle is fully responsive to everything i do... food in the water, my hand, and the other turtle.. in the light her eyes look perfect compared to the other turtle and under water they both look the same.. she had alot of liquid in her eyes this morning so im guessing...

i know what it is and does.. i just figured that she would react just like a human.. itchy eyes... swollen..etc.. basically just needing sleep.. god i hope a turtle can't go blind.. she is reacting to me.. i me she sees me and the other turtle and all.. just probably has blurred vision.. we will see...

well i cleaned the tank out and used some chlorine/bleach to do it.. it was a bit overdone though.. i think there may have been alittle too much chlorine in it and i think this might be the culprit... so i proceeded to clean the tank again 6 hrs later.. did about 3 sucks and the water seems to be VE...

well so far so good.. the bleeding is over.. the healing is going well.. the bad boy is in the main tank to warm up a bit.. the girl is onthe floor under a basking lamp and all is well.. i guess ill just have to do it this way until i get a screen to seperate the tank..

well i have been watching her.. i didn't get to the reply soon enough but its ok.. the bleeding subsided and she seems to be happy right now.. no scare of having her rears chewed at.. the moron is in a rubbermaid container on the floor next to the tank.. its only 31 gallons but he can live for now.....

never thought about the hamsters.. lol.. not a bad idea.. i was looking around the house for some kind of angled plastic, and maybe i could use a countersunk screw to join them then cover the ramp and plexiglass with the marine carpet.. what ya think? would screws present a corosion problem?

i bought a heater today which is submerible... but the casing is shatter proof.. therefore no reason to worry about them cracking it.. its actually pretty strong.. i felt it when it was out of the tank and i was impressed.. now lets see how well the 250w heats my 75 gallon tank.. lol
