land chelonians are a better choice, however they get big,real big.what will you do with it once you get out of collage.I reccomend a leopard gecko,blue tounge skink,or anole for a collage dorm.

for diet, a feeder fish 3 times per week gives them exersize.i also have my turtles go through an obsticle course while i clean there tank so they stay fit.

it is sumtimes difficult to tell wether or not a chelonian is dead,due to the fact that they keep there parts tukked in when ill to avoid preditors (owners included).Maybe dr.fraiser crane can help you out with your \"problem\".

If you buy a hatchling it will stay under 4 inches during your collage stay if it is 4 years or less.

Not a god idea the turtles could die from stress and the hatchlings almost always die anyways.I have a cross breed but that was the only one that survived.its worth 2000 dollars.

well,my experiance with turtle bites is huge.if hurt like a beeeep.wash it out good and then put some polysporn on it to stop infection.good luck.

my only concern would be the waight of the tiles cracking the bottom of the tank.and make sure they are rinsed off good.I personally prefer bricks.

you can give it to them,but not too often.it has lots of protien,so to much will cause scute deformaties,esspecially in adults.maybe 2-3 times a week would be good.
