Re: I know this is off the turtles subject, but does anyone

my dad worked with the guy who owned the ranch she was born on. he picked her out just after she was born. we brought her home when she was about the size of a german shepherd. As for her name I\'m not sure why it is what it is. My Dad named her I think. I was only about 6 at the time.

Hi I have a Shetland pony mare. She turned 21 in May - her name is Susie-Q. We have just over an acre with a small barn for her in the back yard. I also have 3 \"Muskovey\" ducks Lady, Minnie and Pat. They keep her company.

Re: could my turtle go blind?

It has been 11 days since I started the pet store drops - \"ZooMed repti-turtle eye drops\" GREAT STUFF! He has opened both eyes and appears to have a fair bit of sight in both. I have been washing out some sort of white slimy \"fungus\" with the drops. They are almost \"cle...

Re: Turtles won\'t eat or bask

How long since you changed tanks? They may still be getting used to the new set up, it may take a few days/week. Is everything else the same light/heater temp? Is the new tank a new or used tank? was it washed/rinsed thoroughly before they went in? I used a bio-waste remover and my turtle hated it! ...

Re: Not Eating

I have a floating feeder to hold the food in one part of the tank so the current of the filter doesn\'t move it around faster than my turtle can find it. It is actually part of a plastic coat hanger(not wire) held on with suction cups. I got the idea from ones I saw for fish but they were too small....

Re: RES not eating pellets

I have had my painted turtle for 12 years to this day he has never eaten floating pellets or veggies for that matter! People say his diet is not balanced - mealworms, tubiflex worms, earthworms, shrimp, crickets and fish food flakes. You can\'t force them to eat, what the don\'t want to ! He has eat...

Re: could my turtle go blind?

He was on a slightly broader diet before this incident:Fish food flakes, tubiflex worms, shrimp, meal worms - this is what he has eaten for 12 years without a single problem. He has never eaten any veggies and refuses floating pellets. He appears to be regaining some sight in his right eye. I am hop...

Re: could my turtle go blind?

cross your fingers everyone! Today I was able to open both eyes half way. I can see both eye balls are still intact. They are cloudy. I keep washing out some sort of white stuff but I think he has some vision in the right eye. So far he will only open them when we are outside (not in the tank) Could...
