It's really based on the personality of the turtle. There are some that will go out and explore, and there are most that quickly seek out a dark place to hide and sleep.

Being the snail nerd that I am... :| You can feed your snail just about anything that will fall down to the bottom of the tank. Larger snails will develop the habit of crawling to the top of the water, and making a cup shape with their foot to catch floating items to eat.. Snails will also eat your ...

A squirrel is a definite no, but a cat is much more likely. Here's something new for you to try. What you should do, is place a small water source in any place you think the turtle might be. I don't know how, but if they are near the water, they have a way of finding it. It may take a couple days be...

Plexiglass is quite slippery, and I'm not sure the turtle would be able to hold its grip unless you put some type of rubber gripping on the plexiglass.

I think that the turtle may have fallen three floors. It is also possible that the turtle fell back onto the balcony. Why would a squirrel take it? How big is your turtle?

Wow! Spoken like a true poet.
IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND BECAUSE IT TAKES MANY FORMS SO IT IS NOT EASY TO SPOT, YOU COULD WALK RIGHT BY IT WITHOUT KNOWING IT, OR IT COULD BE STARING YOU IN THE FACE WITHOUT YOU REALIZING IT.
That's my favorite line.

Fluval is the best choice. I had some success with an undergravel filter for a little while. Right now, I use a Millenium 2000 Wet-Dry filter. It will work wonders when I get Koi.

I remember when my turtle was that small. *Sigh followed by a flashback* Anyway, you should really wash off the leaves before putting them into the water. I'm even afraid of that, because the leaves may have microscopic parasites on them. -------------------------------------------------------------...

I won't be here for long before I have to take another "trip" from the site. I sold the frogs to another store. I hope their next owners will keep them as happy as I did.

By the way... what happened to Yaya and Straykingfisher?

Update

It's been a while, jeez. I no longer have any of my frogs, I have my turtle, and that's it. I'm getting ready to start raising Koi in my tank, and hopefully moving the turtle outside. (125 gal pond, it will do for now.) How have you all been?

Basking area ideas

My turtle is growing pretty big, pretty fast nowadays. He has had his basking ramp since he was 50-cent coin sized. He's starting to outgrow his ramp and I have no clue what to use next. I need help. :(
