Alright, don\'t put the water from the bowl u feed them in back in the tank b/c once they start eating they will almsot definately start pooping all over the place so you don\'t wanna poor that dirty water back in there. Just refill it with clean water :) By the way, i\'m 16 i\'ll be 17 next month

Definately do wat Rob said, but also don\'t turn off the heater. My poor baby turtle was just daignosed with the beggining of shell rot today and the vet said it was partially b/c the water was too cold.

Re: RES stays on beach

Try putting the turtle who isn\'t eating in a separate tank with water and feed it there. :)

Re: please help... turtle pelets? please answer fast.

If u have a good supply of feeder fish in ur tank then just feed ur turtle a couple pellets a day. I\'m not sure what category it falls under, but they do have alil bit of everything.

Re: feeding?

It would be better to keep them with water from their tank. Since they\'re going to be eating they\'ll take in alot of water, so it\'s better if it\'s the water they are used to . And about the feeding them a lot at once, u have to becareful with that because one of them might eat lets say five pell...

Re: Fruits and veggies! Please help!!!!

You can try feeding him meal worms, or meal shrimp, they love romane lettuce.. Um i don\'t really know other wise. But if ur turtle only likes a certain type of food don\'t stress him out by giving him other things. Be glad that he\'s a good eater with things he likes, b/c alot of turtles don\'t hav...

Re: res blowing bubbles late at nite

I have a baby Map turtle (8 months old) and he blows bubbles all of the time. He\'s the only turtle i have and he does it all the time, especially at night when the lights go out.

Re: How much water.....

The water can be as deep as u want it to be, as long as u have a basking spot that he/she can get up to easily.

Re: feeding?

Hey Tim, :)
The water level should be deep enough for the turtle to dunk their head under, cause they need to be able to swallow their food underwater. To be on the comforateable side (for ur turtles) just put the water deep enough to cover the top of their shells.. Hope i helped ;)

Re: Feeding a turtle...

Hey Rob, I\'m not sure if it\'s ok to feed ur turtle eggs. I have actually never heard of it before. But I guess if they like it it\'s ok. Why don\'t u try feedin them repto min, guppies, romane lettuce, meal worms, or meal shrimp or something more common. I dunno... I just took my turtle to the vet...

Will he be ok?

I have a 10 month old Mississippi Map (Mikey) whom I\'ve had for 8 months and I have a 20 gallon long tank. The water is filled about \"6\" and I have a medium sized floating dock. I was wondering if it would be ok to add an RES. The RES is a bit smaller than Mikey though. Mikey is very active and l...
