I always thought the the only turtles that bite are called snapping turtles unless these are those and the have two different names and I don\'t know it. Thanks for the reply.

Is it safe

My two res like to lay or sit on top or next to the filter, is this bad for them to do? I just put them in there new home and they don\'t have anything to climb onto to get out of the water at the moment so they get on top of the filter and they like to be next to it alot. Do they bite

A friend of mine said that red earred sliders bite and when they bite they don\'t let go and you have to cut off there heads. Is this true? I\'ve had my turtles for about a month or two now and they havn\'t done that to me I think there just starting to get use to me.

How can you tell when there eating

I have two RES and I\'ve had them for about 3 weeks or so I feed them but I can\'t tell if there eating. I\'m worried that there not sometimes I want to watch them to see if they do eat but I\'m afraid that if I watch them they might get frighten of me. I\'m not to sure if they have gotten use to me...

Food or should I say fruit

I read that you could feed your turtles fruit like grapes without the skin I was wondering if you could feed them peaches without the skin or strawberrys. If not is there any other kind of fruit I could try without hurting them? Do they have to be a serent age to feed them these fruits?

I have two cute red ear sliders and I\'m not to good at picking names so maybe I could get some help. I don\'t know what their sex is they both look the same to me except one is smaller than the other. Please I hope someone can help. Thanks.
