Re: Too fat to swim?

i think ur turtle needs time to adjust to the new environment. and i have read that if ur turtle can withdraw without extra skin hanging out then their not fat.

Re: Water, breathing, resting???????

the water shouldnt be to high but not low so that they can just sit there and breathe. when ur turtle wants air they will swim up to get air. as all as u have an easy way for ur turtles to dry off completely. u can fill the water up

Re: heater

i read this RES article and it said that with a heater there is more chances for the turtle to get an infection because of the difference in temp with the air and the water.

Re: Help please...

just make sure u keep the tank covered so theres no breezes. thats why it is not recommended to use a water heater because that causes infections. because the water may be warm but when ur turtle comes up for air the air is cool and those temp changes cause ur turle to worsen.. my baby RES has recov...

Re: baby RES won\'t eat

i wouldnt put fake plants because your RES will chomp on them eventually. and as for the water heater. its not needed because its easier for your baby RES to die. or thats what the vet told me.
