don't let your temp get under 68....it's better if you can keep it at a normal temp

your right...they usually don't breed up until 4 or 5 years old

its better to think about turtles as there size, they breed at about 5 inches

keep ur temp at 76-82, mines at 79, if i were u i\'d keep in touch w/ the store and wait until they get a submersable heater, letting the water get too cold can cause a respitory infection.

Slidersorc your right, their breeding capability is limited by their size, femals need to be a little bigger than males, but male res become sexually mature at 4-5 inches. and females around 6-7, also if you have res i wouldnt reccomend breeding them, they are to common and get large. You would help out much better by adopting. I would reccomend getting a submersible heater for your water, keep it around 76-78 degreese, also temperature doesnt usually stimulate breeding, hibernation does and unless your turtles are heathly i wouldnt do this. Res dont need to hibernate to breed. They breed very easily, but you have to incubate the eggs,
