HELLO EVERYONE I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT DO U FEED TURTLES BECAUSE I FOUND ONE AT SCHOOL AND I WANT TO KEEP IT FOR MY DAUGHTER BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO FEED IT. IT IS A BABY TURTLE MY BIOLOGY TEACHER SAID HE MIGHT BE A SLIDER. I DON'T KNOW IF HE IS A WATER TURTLE OR A LAND TURTLE. RIGHT NOW I HAVE HIM IN A LITTLE CONTANIER WITH HOLES SO HE CAN BREATH WITH SOME ROCKS AND GRASS. I FOUND HIM YESTERDAY SO I KNOW HE IS HUNGRY. IT IS A POND OUTSIDE OF ONE OF THE BUILDINGS AT MY SCHOOL WITH ALOT OF TURTLES SO I'M THINKING THEY MIGHT HAVE HATCH OUTSIDE OF THE WATER, BUT I FOUND THIS ONE A LONG WAY FROM THE POND AND THEY USUALLY COME OUT WHEN IT RAINS. SO IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME SOME USEFUL INFORMATION I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL.
THANKYOU

| Well does your turtle have red or orange marks on the side of the head? It is best to return him to the pond, and to go get one from the pet store. He needs to be in water as that is the only way they can swallow, eat. He will eat lettuce, strawberries, turtle pellets from the pet store. He needs a tank perferably start out w a 20 gal and eventually you will need a much bigger tank. UVB lights heater filter. |
