My mom wants to know if we can put a peace lily in our turtles tank?

I'm sure she will destroy it/eat it and we have plenty of other plants so we're not really worried about that but, will it be OK for her to eat?

Also, I've had my turtle for about 2 and 1/2 years and she's grossly overweight. My parents constantly give in to her 'begging.' When my dad feeds her, sometimes I feel like it's a quarter of a small jar. I'm wondering how much she should be eating. I hardly ever feed her but I need to tell my parents how much. I know they're only supposed to eat every other day (as adults). Mine probably eats 2x a day on most days.

We feed her Wardley food sticks or other similar types that are in the shapes of balls.

She's probably around 9-10 inches long, just so you know. Please let me know how much to feed her, and if you think peace lily's are safe.
