| Please help... I have a RES that if very healthy and *normal* .... until I turn off the tank lights at night. Then he goes into the water, extends his head out of his shell as far as possible and throws back his head, toward the top of his shell. This makes him nearly flip over and creates a real *panic*. This lasts sometimes 10+ minutes!!! Anyone seen this before or have any ideas why he is doing this? Thanks |

If you have a water heater, it might be shorting out, remove the water heater and watch to see if it happens again, there was a post before about that, it turned out to be the heater, if not, look for any other electrical items that might be shorting out, ex: water pump (for circulating water).
