A bit of a long story, but I was a t a flea market and the lady was grabbing this poor baby turtle which had been cramned into a tiny tank full of at least 60 baby turtles (RES supposedly) I couldn't buy them all, but I bought one hoping i'd maybe be able to turn her in and have this little baby as both proof and a companion in my tiny appartment. The turtle it's self was $5.00 and a kidney shaped tank plus some food came out to be around $24.00. I've never had a turtle before and I know he needs more then he has, but I can't afford it I spent my groccery budget just to save the poor thing. Worse to boot is it's not even 4''. It has no red markings and has a fairly soft shell. I ate a tiny tiny bit of food and it's terribly shy. I sleeps almost all of the day I have no heater, but I monoter the temp as best as I can. It's never below 70...but he's so lethargic and just drags around is he hibernating or sick? Is it a red ear if it has no red? I live in Tx and I love the baby, but I really didn't expect to take this little one in and It might be best to find it a better home.... Crying or Very sad
