Im new to this site but have about 8yrs of turtle and reptile experience. I am also an aquarium hobbiest. Right now I have one female RES one female Florida cooter and a north afirican spur thighed tortiose. I also have a Florida king snake and a couple of mammals. You can say my house is pretty busy. I work at Everglades national Park so I consider my self pretty lucky to work in a place where I can observe all these creatures in the wild everyday and get paid for it. I love my job |

This is great to find some folks with similar interests. I am always so busy at the park I really dont get out much. Right now I am treating a juvenile Florida cooter (Pseudemys floridana) from a mild case of shell rot. My sister brought it to me from the tank she keeps in here class room. I had to explain to her again filtraition, filtraition, filtraition. I told her that it is important along with water changes, proper uv lighting and nutrition. UHG! |
