| My recently new turtle has whitish stuff on its skin, especially around its neck but also on its claws etc. It's loose, kind of hangs off and moves around with the turtle. How can I clean it off? Or what to do. Appreciate it. Dave |

without pics, I would assume your turle is shedding.. and perfectly normal..
for reference, I dont' think I could get a decent skin shedding pic of my turts, but my inital assumption is shedding...
and nothing to be worried about,...
so, can you get a macrofocus picture of the condition?

Somebody once described normal turtle skin shedding as transparent tissue paper-like floaty stuff coming off the skin...and that's exactly what it looks like. 
If it's thicker than this or if its clumpy, more like paste, it could be the result of a fungus. In that case, you can look up info online about how to treat a fungus, usually through a salt bath and a short drying out period everyday. Doesn't sound like that's what it is though.
