my turtle is very lazy. he will find any way of gettin air without having to swim to the top. i have tried making the water higher but i dont want to make it too high. also he will not swim around hia tank, he will just walk around the bottom.
Does your turtle/s do this?
thanks

Does he have plants and things to help him climb to the surface? |

| how much water do you have in the tank? Also, how big is your tank? Turtles can become "lazy" when they don't have enough exersice and swimming room. Its said that turtles need 1 gal per inch of their shell... thats a problem with turtles kept in captivity is that they arent given big enough tanks to live in. Turtles are very good swimmers, so don't be afraid to fill your tank up much more. He will not suffocate he will definetly enjoy the swimming room and will allow him to become less lazy. |
