|
|
Hi all new here. Search didn't look up quite what I needed to know.
Apparently my RES has what appears to be a cyst on the back of it's neck. How common is this? I have an appointment with vet tomorrow however I can't really afford it until next week. Is there anything I can do to help the guy until then?
He keeps pushing himself up under the powerhead in what seems like an attempt to itch the spot. I took him out of the water to check it with a Qtip and it is a firm whiteish/yellow spot. Any suggestions? |

Without a picture it is difficult to tell, butit sounds like an infection. Like a boil. The vet will be able to drain it and prescribe antibiotics if needed. _________________

| Well actually that night we took the guys out of the tanks to clean it out. While he was in the box we keep em in to do that it fell off. Seemed more like a scab than anything. There is still a whitish area where it was at but the cyst looking thing itself is gone...... |
