turtles only hibernate if the conditions are right for them to do so. in other words, if its really cold, they will hibernate until it warms up again. if you get a turtle, and are keeping it inside, you dont need to hibernate it. it is only a survival tactic to stay alive through the cold months of the year. houses are warm, so they have no need to fall into thier state of sleep.
