I know I read this some where in here not that long ago, but I have read through sooooo many things my mind can't hold that much info... so I need to ask...
I just got a new 55 gallon tank for my 2 RES. I put tap water in the tank. WAs wondering if it was ok to use that aquasafe neutralizer for fish. or is it bad for turtles.
All of the pet stores in my town have been pretty rude to me about asking them anything about turtles. they turn their noses up and say we don't deal with "those" here.. Even one store that actually had a turtle. They had dock and some dried canned crickets oohhh and lights But everything in that one store was soooo over priced. the dock was 60$ and the
can "o" crickets were about 20 for a very small can.
Ok I'm blabbing again (sorry). lol
I just want to make sure they are safe. So is the Aquasafe for "fish" ok to use?? Should I just follow the same directions that are on the bottle?
THanks _________________ I just got 2 RES. On 4-4-07

Use water dechlorinator. Don't use anything that talks about fish slime coating.
If stores in your area aren't helpful you can always buy online. |

Hey Fish and Candy,
How come the water conditioner that promotes a slime coat in fish isn't ok for turtles? Just curious as the vet I went to mentioned using a fish tank conditioner with aloe vera in it and every kind that did mentioned promoting a slime coat.
Thanks! |
