How ya'll doin. Just wanted to introduce myself. I have a eastern painted turtle that i've had for 4 years and i just got a firebellied toad. Hoping to get a bigger tank soon and add some fish to it. (besides the feeder fish that turtle wont eat)

u can't feed turtles only fish, how old is it?

I wouldn't worry about the feeder fish, your turt might be like mine and is just letting them get fat before he turns 'em into dinner!! Wink

My turt let hers live in the tank with her for a year before she ate them! Razz

I've had my turtle for about 4 years. It was really small when i got it so i don't know exactly how old it is. No i don't feed it only feeder fish it wont eat the feeder fish. I feed my turtle the zoomeds and reptomins food. I give it crickets about 1-2 times a week with the calcium powder. I still remember the first winter i had him and he wouldn't eat. I thought he was going to die but he was hibernating. Thats when i started doin research and joining message boards.

baby turtles don't hibernate, maybe it was a weather change problem Smile

Yea i got the links down on the pic board with my frog. I seperated them now just in case but im workin on a lil project to put them in the same tank some how.
