| when my red eared slider basks, I have a large rock in his tank for him to crawl up on. Does it matter if there is some water on the surface of the rock, or does he need a completely dry area? I like to have the water as deep as possible for him to swim. |

welcome to the board the turtle should be able to dry completely on the basking area. lowering the water level an inch won't affect much  _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

| Thanks for all the input. I'll leave a dry area for him, I've read a lot and I could never find anything that answered my question. |
