Hello everyone,
how are you all and your turts??
Do you guys have any advice on starting over again. I have my terrapin now for 15 years and we have both been through a lot of traumatic change and we have both lost ones close to our hearts and 2007 is going to be a NEW good year for us.
Myself and my terrapin Woodle are moving house and i am getting him a BRAND NEW tank..How exciting.
But i have been so out of the way of looking after him that my knowledge is not as it was..
Can you all please help Woodle and I in our new lives together by offering me some great information in all the basics again of owning terrapins.. For example..
What is the best filter to use in a 4ft tank, what is a good routine and diet consists of for a terrapin and basically anything else you can help me with. I just want to make his life more enjoyable and i especially want his health and shell to be great as i want to have him in my life for a very long time.
We both appreciate any information you can give us for our NEW LIFE in the country.
Thank-you

Mine is 9" long so I got her a distressed bath tub cheap from Home Depot. I put rubber shelf matting around 3 sides so she can climb out. also a board on the back for a deeper shelf. The tank sits in a corner and has an elevated "back yard" at one end with a pile of rocks she can climb. She sits on all three sides and likes to swim as if she's in one of those endless pools against the end of the tub where the Flubal 404 is (maybe she likes the jacuzzi action).

I notice that the more options I give her the livelier she becomes.
