| My 10 yr old female slider has recently started snapping her mouth shut hard to make a loud loud noise. For the 10yrs she's been alive she's never done this before. She only does it when she's out of the tank and wondering around. No, there's nothing wrong with her mouth, its not yawning, etc. It seems quite intentional. When she does it she's not looking at me and gives me the "what?" look when I call her. I can only come up with the idea its a mating behavior but I've never ever read anything about this one. Any ideas? |

| Yes, everything is normal as always. I'm pretty good at noticing oddities and health issues. I've actually got a background in behavior but this one has me stumped. |
