Hey I am (turtlegir113), I have two turtle a female (coral), and a male (Myrtle). Don't laugh at their names, I didn't name them. I have had them for about a year and I have researched everything I could about them. Ttfn Smile

Yea, i got the res when they were reallly little ( those things grow like a water weed), My best friend had gotten them from a pet store and kept them in a plastic tub( about 1 gal.) with an inch of water, no light, no filter (but with an inch of water you really cant filter), and only cleaned their "tank" (which I later found out was a reptile carrier, how alful It's like beinng cooped up in a bathroom,which was where she kept them in their little "tank") every other week. they had a little plastic log that they love and climbed up on to bask but soon descovered that there was nothing to bask. I am so glad I got them when I did, for when I got them I had three turtles, but one soon died from the lack of nutrition. When I first got them I had a 10 gallon tank, but soon discovered that they need more room, although my mom declined this. So I steped it up and bought a 29 gallon tank with I am going to start to renovate as soon as my grampa fixes the lid we got for it, it was like 1/8 of an inch too small so he is taking it apart, then my dad is going to wire the light on, a uva/uvb light for reptiles. and after all that is done we are going to go get a bigger filter, more plants (by the way, where is the best place to bet live plants), rocks, and some feeder fish to lven up my room, where the turtles are Smile
