Hi! I had posted a few questions a couple of weeks ago and everyone here was a lot of help and I hope that everyone has been well since I've last been here. I have a bit of an issue and I'm hoping someone can lend a hand.

My turtle is in a tank with a fluval 1 plus filter and a Visi-Derm Sleath plastic heater. Tonight, I did this whole tank renovation, with a new basking place that lets him have a whole extra 4 inches of water and thus A LOT more swimming space. When I reconnected the filter and heater and went to put the turtle back in, I got a slight electrical shock when touching the water. I disconnected both the filter and the heater and then got ANOTHER shock. Has this happened to anyone else? What should I do? My turtle is in his feeding bowl right now because I dont want to put him in there. Question

Any help or advice would really be appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

- Karen

Thanks Smile I figured out what had happened -- I hadn't attached the filter the correct way when I first put it back into the tank. I took it out, examined it top to bottom, found my error and put it back in the tank and then my husband bravely tested the water for any sign of electric shock and all was well. I waited a little while to make sure everything was running okay and it was so I put the baby back in and he's doing well in his new and greatly improved tank Laughing
