Here is the basking spot I have been working on for the past few days. I used a plastic container for the base and a metal screen container for the fence. Its about 18" by 18" and hopefully my turtle will like it.

| I cut some PVC tubing (the stiffer kind) to the angle it would be resting and put some bolts through the bottom of the base into the tubing. the bottom ends I just capped and they rest into the side of the tank. I wanted to make sure that I could still use this setup if I only had a desk or stand that was the size of the tank itself. |

| Yeah, she has been using it. She is still not super comfortable about it and goes up when I am not looking. I know she has been using it though because I find the sand and dirt all over the ramp and the tank when I get home from work. I had to give her some incentive to go up there in the beginning so I put food in the far back of the cage. |
