Recently my turtle has been quite inactive, not eating, swimming, basking, etc. Yes i have been holding out feeding because it wont eat romaine... but just for a little while. I suspected it was cold as the heater broke a week ago, but the basking light was on. It doesnt appear sick. any speculations as to why?

i am such a bad owner... >_<

I would check to make sure that the water temp isn't too low. Since you mentioned that your heater broke recently, I am suspecting that temp maybe low and he/she might be trying to hibernate. Try to keep the temp up and around 78 to 82.
