Hello!
I have this turtle with red stripes on its head. Does anyone know what kind of turtle it is ? I was told that it is a water turtle. I need to find out what kind it is and what to feed it. Can anyone tell me what up? Question

if the 'stripes' are where its ears are, then it is a red eared slider. yes, that is a type of water turtle. i feed mine (red eared sliders, aslo referred to as RES's) pellets from the pet store, guppies (live, just put them in the tank) and romaine lettuce. you can use other kinds of lettuce too, just never iceburg. big nono. it has little to no nutritional value but it is very tasty and they might boycott all other foods if you feed it to them and then stop. for lettuce, just put in in the tank. they will chase it around. what kind of setup do you have?
