I have a western painted and was wondering if I might be feeding too much. I got him Oct. 14 and he has grown a little over a 1/4 inch in that time. Is that too fast? I feed him 4 or 5 of the turtle sticks a day and he munches on a plant I bought for him. Thanks Smile

By the way he was 1 inch when I got him.

4 or 5 sticks twice a day? or just once a day? but his growth is fine, one of my guys has grown hugely since september, fully 4x the size of when i got her. the other was sick, and has only grown a bit. so 1/4 inch is no biggie, normal.

Once a day. I wasn't sure if that was too fast. Didn't want his shell to pyramid or anything. Thanks Very Happy

that sounds fine to me. i feed my guys twice a day, but enough to fill their bellies each time.

Hi I am pretty new to the site, and love all the info you can get here, I have had 2 res for about a year now, and one looks like his shell is comming to a point, I read something on here about pyromid, but i can't find it now, anybody got any info regarding this. Surprised
