Which would be better taking a clamp light and putting a uvb bulb in it or putting a uvb bulb in a aquarium hood? Right now I have a aquarium hood. |

i dotn have a hood at all. i have 3 clamp lamps, a uva that serves as the basking light, a uvb over the water and a heat lamp over teh water (im upgrading heaters soon, so that wont be up much longer, my heater now is way to small.) _________________ I love my turtles! |

I highly suggest using the clamp light with a UVB bulb as your basking light. Keep the Aquarium hood for show purposes and additional lighting. You want your turtle to have a choice when to bask and when to just swim. |
