Which would be better taking a clamp light and putting a uvb bulb in it or putting a uvb bulb in a aquarium hood? Right now I have a aquarium hood. Question

I highly suggest using the clamp light with a UVB bulb as your basking light. Keep the Aquarium hood for show purposes and additional lighting. You want your turtle to have a choice when to bask and when to just swim.
