I have 2 box turtles. However I can not figure out the sex of either anyone know how?

Long nails, long tail-mail
short nails, short tail- female.

Males of sexual maturity have a bright red iris while the females eyes will be a yellow or a reddish brown. Males have a convex plastron while a females is flat.
Sometimes it is difficult to tell them apart, especially if the turtles are younger.
