Most of the baby turtles suppose to hibernate. Sometimes it may not survive the hibernation period when they are less than one year old. As long as your turtles are healthy and active, it may not need to hibernate. |

"most"?????? NO baby turtles should NEVER hibernate cz they're too young to survive that drop in temps and staying for that long without food!! turtles younger than 4 yrs shouldn't hibernate and btw, u don't hibernate them if they're not active cz u will kill them!!! sick turtles shouldn't hibernate too and the main reason for hibernation would be if they live outdoors and the temps drop to the level required and the turtles are used to hibernating.
gee buddy i don't wanna sound rude but plz check ur info b4 posting about serious stuff! we all make mistakes yes and i do a lot too but it mostly happens when i try helping in identifying a turtle not in such critical issues! _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

| I think there's quite mixed feelings about hibernation. I don't hibernate mine, would be too scared! but there are people that suggest healthy baby turtles can be hibernated afterall that is what they do in the wild. |
