Hi folks...
I was wondering b/c I think that my turts are mating...is it normal for one to start trying to bite the other during mating...or do they do this maybe to take off the other\'s flaking skin??? |

Biting during mating? I have heard that the female may bite before the mating. That is her sign of saying no to the male turtle. They do not bite to take away the flaky shell, shedding scute (shell shedding)works all on it\'s own. Do not attempt to pull it away it will fall off in time. _________________ Visit my New Website, Aquatic Turtle Care and Information with Forum. http://www.geocities.com/glenntiljen/index.htm |

My female turtle usually starts snapping at the male when she gets tired of him since he is pretty persistent at times. _________________ Zeus & Zellah are my turtles!! |
