I have 2 sizes in my tank. I have to big one just under the basking light. And then the small one off to the side of the UVA/UVB bulb. I had bought a 40 gal. tank, used from a pet shop for 40. It is the long one. Bascially it measures up to a 55 gal just not as tall. Some of the suction cups for the docks or plants wont stay put. SO I have a plant "floating" around. Its funny watching the bigger turt Chunky trying to swim around it or stand on it cause it rolls. He gets tired of it and moves on to a more sturdy place like to dock. |

I too am having problems with suction cups not staying on my bubble wands. The turtles love to hit them just right so they loose suction and dangle under water. Might I suggest to try using Aquarium sealent. It's basically a silicon that is non-toxic that will hold things in place. You can get it at Home Depot/Lowe's or Walmart. The only bad thing is that if you try it out it takes like 48 hours to cure and you would have to find temporary storage for your turtles. Check it out. I'm staying w/ my parents for right now till I get my new Apt. When that happends I'm going to try it on the suction cups and some of the PVC pipes that I have in the tank. Another good thing, is that if the time comes and you want to remove the dock, just (Carefully) use a razor and your done. Cleans up easy... _________________ Where Ever You Go There You Are.

I will definetly give it a try. I will have to do that soon, since I have moved them the have grown quite big. In fact Squirt isnt green. He hardly has any green on him. He is getting to be more brownish in color, better get a move on it. |
