I was laying on the edge of my bed a few minutes, trying to peek in at Kalas...(my little RES) and was watching him, he was still sitting half on the filter (we will be getting a suitable basking pad Wednesday as we couldnt find anything really yesterday) and He gave me the usual glaring look as he seems to have and started to bob his head some before I moved a bit and he dove into the water as he's sill scared of me....
I looked in the behavioral section of my book and it doesnt say anything on head bobbing...Why do turts bob their head anyhow? Is it a threatening thing? Some sort of communication? Just am curious as it is the first time he's done it...thanks! |

I have noticed my Russian Tortoise have been bobbing his head At first I thought it was because of his little heart beating so hard (and that he was scared), but after a couple seconds he stops. So, I am not sure what it is, but it makes me nervous. _________________ -= Shannon =- |
