Hi, my name is Nancy and I am an unexpected first time turtle owner. I also have fish - 1 betta, 5 fancy goldfish and 6 cory cats.

I was asked over the holidays if I would be willing to take in a turtle if the current owner needed to find a home for him. Little did I know that meant the very next week. I honestly didn't think it would happen at all! I wasn't sure if I was going to keep him, but the cute little guy has won our hearts and we have given in to being a turtle Mommy and Daddy.

So here I am trying to learn as much as I can about my RES! I'm glad I was able to find this site, I'm sure it will provide me with a wealth of information.
