I recently rescued TS from a friend who had given up on taking care of him. So hes kind of grouchy after living in a closet with no heat lamp or nice dry area. Im doing my best to educate myself but am at a bit of a loss. He has a hole on his shell which I think is from rot and his under side is flaking a little. The first aid sheet says to apply betadine or Nolvosan - what are these? And where can I get them? _________________ Phoebe |

welcome to the board rescuer
betadine is a cream that is used for cuts, burns...and u can find it in pharmacies. there are other types too like Acriflavine, this one is recommended for turtles and the site said it showed better results than others
good luck and keep us posted _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

Thanks for the tip! Hopefully the cream and some time under a heat lamp will improve T.S.'s temperment, poor thing. I will keep you posted! _________________ Phoebe |
